CAUTION
Static electricity can damage the IPDS DIMM. You should either wear an anti static wrist wrap, or frequently touch the metal surface of the printer.

Installation

For installation of your IPDS DIMM, please see one of the following references:

• The enclosed Blue Kit IPDS for HP User's Guide
• The relevant documentation supplied with your HP printer. This documentation can be downloaded from www.hp.com

New menus in printer's control panel

After installation of the IPDS DIMM your printer's control panel will feature an IPDS menu. Refer to the Blue Kit IPDS for HP Userīs Guide for details.

HP settings:

Default IPDS port in JetDirect card is: 9100

1. Set the IP, Subnet Mask, and Gateway address on the JetDirect card.
2. The JetDirect card's IDLE TIMEOUT must be set to 3600 sec or 0 (zero).
3. Remember to power cycle printer to enable new settings.

Configuration via web browser (only for HP 2100 and 9000)

After http://, type the IP address of the print server followed by :9100/ipdsdimm/ in the web browser's Address or Location box.

Example: http://192.16.100.10:9100/ipdsdimm/
