The Blue Server is a software print server that handles SCS, IPDS and AFP data streams. It has been designed for both decentralized and production environments.
The Blue Server converts host print data to either PCL, PostScript 2 & 3, TIFF, BMP or PPML. In addition to printing facilities, The Blue Server has genuine document management capabilities. It also provides enhanced PDF output, with security options, for printing, document archiving and distribution. Moreover, it enables fax and e-mail output directly from the host.
Running on Windows (NT, 2000, XP, 2003...) servers or workstations, it connects to multiple IBM host and midrange systems and provides a method to receive host print data (AFPDS, IPDS and SCS/DCA) via SNA, TCP/IP and Channel 370.
Thanks to an user-friendly graphical interface, The Blue Server is easy to set up and manage. It is the perfect solution to address the needs of heterogeneous printing environments.
