AFP and IPDS to PCL, PostScript and PDF

The Blue Server is a powerful server-based printing solution enabling any LAN printer to service IBM Mainframe and Midrange systems applications. It runs on a Sun Solaris server and requires neither intervention nor change on existing applications. It has been designed for both decentralized and production environments.

Communication and Data stream conversion

The Blue Server communicates with the IBM system over TCP/IP and converts incoming data (AFPDS and IPDS) to either PCL, PostScript, TIFF, BMP, PPML or PDF.

The output data from The Blue Server can be configured to the requirements of your printers and users: PCL or PostScript 2 & 3 (Hi-Lite and Full Color) for LAN and channel page printers.

The Blue Server drives the extensive input and output facilities of MFP's and Digital copiers (duplex, trays remapping, stapling, punching ...). The PDF output facility enables, in addition to printing, archiving or document distribution over the Internet.

The Blue Server supports outline and DBCS fonts, 240/300/600 dpi and Automatic resolution, object containers (Jpeg and Tiff / Color Map Tale soon), 2D Barcode, color printing as gray scale on black-and-white printers, enhanced security options for PDF output.
