The Linux based alternative for IBM host printing

DocOut Linux™ is used to connect LAN printers to the IBM environment.

Data stream conversion

DocOut Linux™ converts host data (IPDS) to PCL, PostScript or PDF. DocOut Linux™ allows for multiple host connections using TCP/IP.

The output data from DocOut Linux™ can be configured to match your printing requirements. Page laser printers are supported via PCL5/5c or PostScript output. Inkjet and matrix printers are supported via PDF output. DocOut Linux™ contains options to support the extensive input and output facilities of MFPs and Digital copiers. Documents can be generated in PDF format for archiving or distribution over the Internet.

Support of monochrome printing and color printing with the use of outline fonts means that DocOut Linux™ meets today's requirements for high volume/quality print. Optimum reliability is maintained with extensive end-to-end control of the printing process.

Easy installation and configuration

Configuration of DocOut Linux™ is achieved with PrintGuide™ which acts as both Configuration Wizard, Status Monitor and Maintenance Tool.

DocOut Linux™ is a printer license based server software that can be matched to the exact number of printers required. More than 250 simultaneous sessions per installation are supported at various PPM ranges allowing you to configure DocOut Linux™ to exactly suit your printing requirements.
