How to upload the PrintServer's configuration file

The file can be requested by MPI Tech to recreate, investigate, reconfigure or solve a specific customer problem. The file can also be used as a backup of the PrintServer's configuration.

Do the following:

1. Start PrintGuide.
2. In Monitor View, locate and highlight the PrintServer in the list.
3. Select PrintServer, Backup Configuration.
   When you select Backup Configuration, a Save As dialog is displayed, prompting for the name and location of the file to which the configuration is to be saved.
4. Click Save to accept the file name and location.
5. Wait for the upload to complete and click OK to complete the procedure.

The uploaded file (*.upd) is named according to the name of the PrintServer and is placed in (default location):
'[Drive]:\Program Files\i-data international\PrintGuide\*.upd'
