Pre-installation task

1. Check that the red TEST switch on the rear panel of the protocol converter is away from T, A, and B position. The white marker on the switch indicates the current setting.

Installation

1. Power off printer. Plug the protocol converter's parallel port into the printer's parallel input port and lock it with the two mounting bails.
2. Connect the protocol converter to the host system with the Coax cable.
3. Power on printer and protocol converter. The green LEDs for CU on the top of the protocol converter should light.

Generate settings printout

1. Record the current position of the red TEST switch on the rear panel of the protocol converter.
2. Turn the switch to position T (TEST) and back to the original position when the printer has started printing.
