My LinkCom Xpress IPDS, DocOut or Blueserver hang when I print IPDS from AS/400 V5R1. The writer is in status "WTR" and nothing is printed.

The OS/400 V5R1 have a new parameter in the PSFCFG, ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FREQUENCY.

If you change ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FREQUENCY from 100 pages ( default ) to 10 pages then it will print again.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT FREQUENCY

Specifies the frequency, in pages , with which PSF/400 sends IPDS acknowledgment request to a printer. The acknowledgment request responses from the printer contain information as to the status of pages sent to the printer ( use for reprinting if connections have been down).

Please also in the PSFCFG set RELEASE TIMER to *SEC15 so PSF/400 will release the printer 15 seconds after last page have been printed from the spool.

Please also make sure that you apply the latest PTF from IBM concerning AFP printing and TCP/LAN printing.
