How to configure a Windows 9x/NT4/2000/XP client for printing

This describes how to connect a shared printer from a client workstation running Windows 9x/NT4/2000/XP.

1. Click Start, Settings, Printers and double-click Add printer.
2. Select Network printer and specify the path to the shared network printer, syntax: \\servername\sharename
   Alternatively, click Browse, find the path to your server on which the network printer resides and click OK.
3. Select printer make and model and click Next.
   If your printer is not listed, consult your printer documentation for a compatible printer.
   If the printer driver is installed on the Windows NT Server, it is automatically installed on your workstation.
4. Choose a name for your printer and click Finish.
