The PrintServer reports 'No communication with IPDS top'.

The FSL Top in the PrintServer has lost its firmware. Follow the steps below to re-install the firmware.

Part 1: Update the PrintServer firmware

1. Refer to: How to update the firmware

Part 2: Load fslprog.f22

1. Start PrintGuide™.
2. Locate and click the PrintServer in the list of detected devices.
3. On the PrintServer menu, click Update Firmware.
4. In the Open dialog, set Files of type to FSL TopFirmware (*.f12,*f22). Double-click the fslprog file (fslprog.f22).
5. A confirmation dialog is displayed. Click OK to download the fslprog.f22 to the PrintServer.
6. Click OK when the file has been downloaded.
7. Do not interfere with the PrintServer until its status says "Ready".
8. The FSL top will now have firmware 140120.f22 loaded but if you need another firmware then go to Part 3.

Part 3: Load the latest FSL Top Driver

1. On the PrintServer menu, click Update Firmware.
2. Click Files of type, and select FSL TopFirmware (*.F12,*F22). Double-click the firmware file e.g. 144060.f22 (See FSL Top Drivers). A confirmation dialog is displayed.
3. Click OK to download the firmware to the PrintServer.
4. Click OK when the file has been downloaded.
5. The firmware is updated. The PrintServer restarts automatically. Do not interfere with the PrintServer until it has restarted and its status says "Ready".
