How to configure peer-to-peer printing in Windows 95/98/2000/NT by queue mode set-up

Queue mode set-up uses SMB NetBIOS/NetBEUI for printing. With this method, print is directed to a queue which you set up on a PC to hold print jobs. This queue is shared, allowing other clients to use the printer. The clients connect to the PC that holds the print queue, instead of connecting directly to the PrintServer as in direct mode.

Notes:
  • The PCs in the network must have the TCP/IP protocol installed.
  • Workgroup settings must be defined in both the PrintServer and the client.
  • Ensure that the PrintServer is set up in the correct Workgroup/ domain when using SMB NetBEUI peer-to-peer printing. You can check the workgroup or domain name on the PrintServer's panel web page (in the frame on the right-hand side).
