New Product Announcement: EasyCom III
MPI Tech introduces the EasyCom III product family.
EasyCom III includes all options and features from EasyCom Xpress and thus allows it to co-exist with or
fully replace current installations of EasyCom Xpress.
EasyCom III, based on the well-proven software from LinkCom III, operates on a new hardware that offers
ample processing power for implementation of a rich feature set.
EasyCom III features user selectable output. Output can be directed to either a parallel Centronics port,
an USB port, a serial port, or to the network using the printers IP address. The output is easily selected
using PrintGuide™ or web browser. Default output is the Centronics parallel port.
The EasyCom III IPDS Matrix option includes the IBM 4247 IPDS emulation for matrix printers as well as
standard network support.
SCS/DCA with FSL utilizing the TN3270e/TN5250e protocols is also an available option – this feature is
known from LinkCom III.
EasyCom III units may be field upgraded to allow access to a rich range of facilities.
EasyCom III includes:
- All features from EasyCom Xpress series
- Configuration via PrintGuide™ and web browser
- Centronics parallel, USB 2.0 or Serial output
- Pre string, Post String and Replacement strings
- Output to network ( H2N feature)
Factory or field installable options:
- IBM 4247 IPDS emulation to matrix printers
- SCS and DCA support via TN3270/5250 with FSL support
With this introduction, EasyCom III replaces our current EasyCom Xpress product that is removed from
the market.
