New Product Announcement: LinkCom III EIO

MPI Tech introduces a new and improved version of the LinkCom EIO card for HP LaserJet printers including HP Colour LaserJet printers featuring an EIO slot.

LinkCom III EIO includes all options and features from LinkCom Xpress and add new and enhanced features to the well known product series.

The new card is based on an entirely new hardware platform adding the required increased processing power to meet the demands for high volume and full color printing.

LinkCom III EIO is installed into an empty EIO slot of the HP LaserJet printer hereby adding network connection with SCS/DCA and IPDS support directly into the printer. Any available feature is easily configured using PrintGuide or a web browser.

The LinkCom III EIO IPDS option includes IBM IPDS emulations for PCL and PostScript HP LaserJet printers as well as standard network support.

SCS/DCA with FSL utilizing the TN3270e/TN5250e protocols is a standard option - this feature is known from LinkCom III.

LinkCom III EIO units may be field upgraded to allow access to a rich range of facilities.

LinkCom III EIO features the following added or enhanced functions:

• Fully integrated into the HP printer's EIO slot
• Support for the full range of HP EIO laser printers w/ PCL or PostScript support
• IBM IPDS support (Option)
• IBM IP40, 4028, 3812/16 (Default: IP40 w/ Scalable font support)
• Automatic font set selection via change of emulation setting
• IPDS IO compression for PostScript output enabled for faster throughput
• Full IPDS Color Support (Option for PostScript output)
• FS45, JPEG and Object Container with Color images.
  • (Current 'LinkCom Xpress EIO' color support is standard)
  • TN5250 and TN3270 w/ FSL
  • No additional hardware is required
• 2D Bar code IPDS printing
• USB and Serial port for future options
• Pre- Post- and Replacement strings with improved performance

With this introduction, LinkCom III EIO replaces our current LinkCom Xpress EIO product that is removed from the market.
