LinkCom III Enhancements

The next releases include the below options:

LinkCom III IPDS / SCS enhancements
  • End2End enhanced control
    • The enhanced End2End control allow full control and error reporting between system and printer. It enables the user to remotely identify any issue with the printer and react accordingly. With this feature you can also print sensitive documents with full system control enabling a very high degree of security.
  • Host2Net facility
    • LinkCom III now offer the flexible option of directing the output of a session to a network connected printer using TCP/IP. The option is user selectable and is included as standard with future shipments of LinkCom III with IPDS enabled.
  • LU3 Session support via TN3270e
    • With this option it is now possible to enable legacy applications to print using the MPI Tech LinkCom III via TN3270e. No modification are required to be performed to the applications on the host. This option corresponds to LU type 3 SNA sessions. LU3 support via TN3270e is included as standard with SCS/DCA option.
LinkCom III Matrix IPDS enhancement
  • 4247 Graphics Font support
    • Allows existing networked matrix printers to print AFP/IPDS print jobs. With this enhancement, the box now also features graphic font support for large and scalable characters printing in 4247 Matrix IPDS emulation
LinkCom III Soon-to-come features
  • N-Up printing
    • Support for both Simple and Enhanced N-Up facility enabling multiple logical pages to be printed on one physical page
  • 600 dpi support
    • Option to handle input and output in 600 dpi for enhanced print resolution and appearance
