Hub functionality

The PlusCom™ Xpress PRO is equipped with three RJ45 ports. The green LED on the ports indicates link, and the yellow LED indicates traffic. Port 3 is labeled MDI/MDI-X

Hub ports

• Port 1, 2, and 3 can be used to connect network devices such as PCs and network printers.
• To connect to an existing network you should use port 3, because it can auto sense its mode (uplink/normal).
• The mode of port 3 can be set explicitly via a web browser; click Advanced Configuration, and then Hub.

LAN speed

• The print server can operate at 10 or 100 Mbps. The print server will automatically sense and decide the speed (100 Mbps, unless the number of ports using 10 Mbps are in majority).
• The LAN speed can be set explicitly via a web browser; click Advanced Configuration, and then General.
