Problem
Proposed Solution
This control operates on a “user-by-user” basis and is installed on a server that receives PCL data generated by the Windows network and by the BlueServer. The latter receives AFP/IPDS streams from the i-series, transforms them into PCL, and sends the processed files to the control and counting queues. The user name is not the same on the i-series and on the network.
As a result, MPI Tech has developed a new feature that allows the BlueServer to retrieve the user name registered on the i-series and integrate it into the identity table provided by the client.
The BlueServer then sends this identity in the appropriate format to the control and counting software so that the application recognizes the correct user.
